Boy dies after going missing in St. Croix River

A 10-year-old boy died Friday after being pulled from the waters of the St. Croix River.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said the boy was reported missing in the water at William O'Brien State Park near Scandia, just before 3 p.m. Friday.
Searchers found him underwater about 90 minutes later and started life-saving measures; the boy was later pronounced dead at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
The boy's name has not been released; the sheriff's office said the incident is under investigation.
