St. Cloud police investigate shooting death of 24-year-old

St. Cloud police are investigating the shooting death of a man in an alley following a fight at a party.

Police said officers responded to a report of a person with a gun around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, then got a call that a person had been shot in a vehicle in the alley. Officers found the 24-year-old St. Cloud man in the driver's seat and tried to resuscitate him, but he died at a hospital.

Investigators determined that there had been a fight outside a nearby apartment where a party was taking place, and that it led to the shooting. Several people fled when shots were fired.

There were no immediate arrests, and the victim's name was not immediately released. Police said it doesn't appear to be a random incident.
