Economic downturn hits angel investors and their clients

The ongoing economic crisis is making it much tougher for potential borrowers to obtain credit. That is affecting the amount of money available for fledgling businesses. One source of funding for entrepeneurs can be so-called angel investors, wealthy individuals who provide capital for start-up companies. As the stock market drops, these individuals are seeing their net worth decline which could affect future investment decisions. Rain Source Capital is a network of 23 angel investors in the Upper Midwest. MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Pete Birkeland who is Rain Source Capital's Chief Financial Officer
