How are Minnesota's parents doing?

Last school year, kids and their parents were thrown into a new world of distance learning. This time around, parents had a few months to get ready for another strange semester — but even with prep time, it's proven to be a stressful start for districts and families.

Some parents have a few weeks of the new semester under their belts; others just started a few days ago. MPR News host Angela Davis dives into the realities Minnesota’s parents of school-age children are facing right now, with the help of two guests.

• Elizabeth Shockman is an education reporter for MPR News. She’s been writing about the changes parents, teachers, administrators and students have experienced and how they are dealing with them.

• Dana Abrams is the ombudsperson for St. Paul Public Schools. She investigates and works to resolve complaints made by families against the school district.
