Highway 100, I-694 closures top Twin Cities weekend road woes

Here's your guide to this weekend's major driving hassles, via the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Also keep an eye out for street closures Sunday tied to the Twin Cities Marathon.

Highway 100, Edina. Southbound Highway 100 will close between Minnesota Highway 62 and Interstate 494 from 10 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday. The closure also includes the West 70th Street ramp to southbound Highway 100 as well as the West 77th Street loop to southbound Highway 100.

Interstate 694, Oakdale. I-694 westbound in Oakdale to Minnesota Highway 120 closes at 10 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday.

Interstate 35, Lakeville. Southbound I-35 is reduced to a single lane between County Road 50 and County Road 60/185th Street in Lakeville starting at 8 p.m. tonight through noon Sunday.

Interstate 35W, New Brighton. Both directions of I-35W will close overnight Friday between I-694 and Minnesota Highway 36 so crews can set beams for the new bridge crossing the interstate between New Brighton and Arden Hills. The road is expected to reopen by 7 a.m. Saturday.
